Clutha children’s cricket has been cracking with the Smash Play softball programme at 3.45pm each Wednesday at Balclutha Showgrounds. Year 5 to 8 cricket tournaments were also played in Milton last week, where enthusiasts were pleased to see the game’s fundamentals learned and practised by the youngsters as adult competition cricket rolls out of the pavilion across Otago this weekend.
