Ever wondered what your local MP can do for you?

As your local Member of Parliament, it is my privilege to represent you and the people of the Southland electorate.

I am here to ensure your views, issues and concerns are heard in Parliament.

While I meet a lot of people at functions, events and activities in our electorate, I welcome in› person visits to my offices in Gore, Alexandra and Queenstown too.

My team and I look forward to hosting a morning tea tomorrow, August 26, at my Alexandra office, between 10am and noon where you can join us for a cuppa and a chat about how we can be of service to you.

Assistance

Í Helping people with issues relating to education, health, immigration and ACC.

Í Helping with queries to government departments such as Work and Income, Inland Revenue, Police and Housing New Zealand.

Í Helping people understand government policies.

Í Acknowledging people celebrating milestones or achieving success.

Representation

Í Taking the views of our local communities and groups to Parliament when legislation is being developed.

Í Ensuring that politicians understand the impact of laws on our communities.

Í Providing information to people about how Parliament works.

Í Attending and participating in local events and functions.

Í Presenting the views of local people when conscience votes are debated in Parliament.

Advocacy

Í Supporting local causes and helping to advance them.

Í Representing community groups which want to contribute positive ideas to improve our country and community.

Í Work with local body representatives to meet your needs.
