Coast to Coast participants (from left) Andrew Labes (Balclutha), Paul Skipper (Milton), Kevin Wheeler (Australia) and Kalai Lao (China) link up to cross a stream in Deception Valley during their mission to complete the long-running event earlier this month. The Coast to Coast drew hundreds of athletes from New Zealand and further afield to compete in the gruelling journey, which began at Kumara Beach on the West Coast.
