The Heriot Golf Club team of (from left) Andrew Herriott, Julian Kelly and Gordon Thomson swung its way to victory at the Otago Champion of Champions competitIon in Cromwell on August 14. ‘‘Cromwell Links is slopy and rolling, pretty different from our flat, home course, so we were pretty stoked to win with a total score of 109,’’ HGC president Julian Kelly said. Twenty-three clubs from throughout Otago and Dunedin ran local tournaments to select their individual champions into teams to club it out in Cromwell, where Thomson won best individual golfer on the day with 45 points.
