Otago South River Care, which supports farmer-led catchment groups in the region, hosted three Dunedin primary schools for a farm visit at Toko Mouth last month. The visit showcased farm life including working dogs, sheep and how their wool was used to produce mats to protect native plants and how riparian planting protects waterways and improves stream habitat and health.
