Scores of varmints, fish and big game were weighed-in by teams and individuals at the annual community event, providing mentoring of traditional resilience skills and plenty of sustainable lean protein for family freezers.
‘‘Thanks to everyone who helped on the day, our judges and especially our amazing sponsors . . .all funds raised go to the Otago rescue helicopter and the Hearing You school counselling service,’’ co-organiser Karen Mills said.
