Swinging success

Clinton Primary School pupils (from left) Ryan Powley (11), Ben McKenzie (12), Thomas Johnson (13), and Tova Collie (11) enjoy the new swings at the school last Wednesday.

Clinton Primary School received grants from Trusts Community Foundation and the WJ Beatty Trust to install swings in the junior and senior playgrounds at the school.

The Clinton Parent Teacher Association (PTA) saw a need for swings in the school as pupils only had the one swing they would always have to line up for, members said.

The swing was built by local company Offroad Engineering and installed by a group of dedicated school dads for the children, which have proved “super popular and a huge hit”, PTA member Laura Allan said.

The school now has four swings installed in the senior playground and two in the junior playground and pupils are very happy with the results. REPORT AND PHOTO: EVELYN THORN
