Keen to show the Christmas cheer at Ashlea Grove Rest Home in Milton last week were assistant manager Jasmine Boulton (rear), residents Michelle Hinton, Ngaire Ingram, former fisherwoman Dorothy Fishburn and diversional therapist Kim Davies. The Jingle Belles were happy to drop what they were doing at a moment’s notice and pose beside the dining room Christmas tree to help add some festive spirit to the community via the Clutha Leader . The leafy, sun-soaked Ashlea Grove Rest Home has a special place in the hearts of the Milton community as it used to be the local hospital and many of its residents had their babies there many years ago. ‘‘We pay particular attention to special events in our residents’ lives during the year and Christmas time in particular receives many positive comments from the residents and those who visit,’’ an Ashley Grove spokesperson said.
