Philippa Hall, of Milton, is this week’s Silver Fern Farms ‘‘local legend’’.
Ms Hall, who hails originally from Yorkshire, was nominated for the tasty Silver Fern Farms leg of lamb by Milton retiree Wendy Hellyer.
Ms Hellyer nominated her friend and former Ashlea Grove Rest Home carer Philippa after a recent accident led to a broken arm.
‘‘Philippa has been invaluable in her dedication to me while I have been recovering,’’ Ms Hellyer said.
‘‘She has provided personal care and meals to me while looking after her husband and three children, and holding down a job.’’
Ms Hall said she was delighted to receive the prize, and would roast the lamb with some traditional Yorkshire puddings for her family soon. Nominations to [email protected]
