Clued Up Kids 2023 was held at Balclutha’s Cross Recreation Centre (CRC) last Thursday to educate the district’s young people about emergency services and hazards in rural areas. ‘‘We’re always really impressed how the services people and volunteers put in the time and effort to help our tamariki live in safer communities,’’ CRC manager Noeline Scott said. The one-day event welcomes pupils from district schools to engage with spokespeople from Fire and Emergency New Zealand, police, Civil Defence, Land Search and Rescue, St John ambulance service and others.
