Balclutha Bridge Playground has a new fence as part of a Clutha District Council-led destination park design.
A working group including Rotary, the Youth Council, ward councillors and Mayor Bryan Cadogan has been developing concept plans in consultation with other public stakeholders and hopes to include community engagement to gauge local ideas.
An order estimate for the fence came in at $40,000 for 165m of 950mm barrier fencing with gates, mobility access and site preparation, and Balclutha Rotary is already well into works to upgrade the playground fort’s flying fox and provide a mural for the facility. REPORT & PHOTO: NICK BROOK
