Last week’s winner of the Silver Fern Farms ‘‘Local Legends’’ lamb leg prize was Helen Keen, of Owaka. Helen was nominated for her contribution and work as the team leader for local district nurses and her involvement in the Owaka community.
She assists in maintaining the town’s gardens, assisted in the cavalcade, helped out at the Owaka Rugby Club and has given her husband a hand with Lions volunteering.
