Youngster Parker Pei (2) helps his grandmother, Balclutha Rotarian Tania Lowery, set up up books for the annual Rotary Book Sale, which begins tomorrow. The Rotary Club of Balclutha’s book sale will go from 10am to 7pm tomorrow, 10am to 5pm on Saturday and 10am to 2pm on Sunday to give locals the opportunity to grab some books for the winter and the year, or take the children along to pick up some books for cheap to enjoy. The book sale is Rotary’s biggest fundraiser each year and Ms Lowery said ‘‘all money made from the event will go back into the community, including the flying fox at the Balclutha playground and various other projects as they arise’’. The book sale was her favourite time of the year as she ‘‘loved seeing the books go to new homes’’. The book sale is being held in the former BNZ building on the corner of Clyde and John Sts.
