Balclutha Primary School (BPS) recently held a pet day to celebrate their pupils’ favourite furry friends.

The Balclutha Showgrounds was filled with dogs, bunnies, a calf and even virtual pets, including cats, which could not make it.

Judges walked around and talked to the pupils to get the background on their pet and how much their furry friends meant to them.

The children had a day of fun with their pets, including a barbecue lunch and prizes.

Teacher Renee Judson said the day was ‘‘great fun for all’’.
