Feeling tyred yet?

Luke Bracefield, of Popotunoa, navigates his way through the obstacle course carrying a boar as he takes part in the family fun activities on hand at The Valley Roar hunting and fishing competition in 2021.

Clydevale’s 2023 Valley Roar hunting and fishing competition begins tomorrow, and Greenfield Tavern organisers are excited for the event to go ahead. The Valley Roar has been successful in the past and organisers are hoping to get plenty of keen hunters, fishers and supporters along to the event once again. The competition goes until Sunday, with stags, bucks, boars, perch and trout all ready to be hunted and fished.

Prizes are available for topics including best antlers, ugliest stag head, heaviest animal, highest tally of hares and rabbits and ‘‘best dressed pest’’.
