Making a splash for the Far North District on Otago Anniversary Day will be (from left) Clutha mayoral assistant Justine Barrie, Balclutha Pool lifeguards Jolene Bellaney and Maia Pryde, and Clutha Mayor Bryan Cadogan. Clutha District Council will donate all casual pool entry fees at the pool on Monday to the Far North District mayoral relief fund, in the wake of Cyclone Gabrielle. Mr Cadogan encouraged locals to head for an anniversary day swim. ‘‘It’s a great chance to enjoy a swim with your family while also doing good by offering support to the Far North community.’’ Donations can also be made to the Far North District mayoral relief fund.
