Cancer Society volunteers (from left) Viv Fyall, Ann Davies, Carolyn Clark, Jenny Parmenta, Lynette Willocks, Midge Goatley and Joy Sheppard put their best flowers forward for Balclutha businesses last Monday in support of the Cancer Society’s Daffodil Day. The volunteers delivered 4300 daffodils to organisations, schools, businesses and eight stalls around Balclutha. Bundles of the yellow flowers were tied together and placed into buckets to carry around, and yellow became the most outstanding colour throughout the town. Many businesses and schools also raised money with their own events during the nationwide awareness week.
