Ashleigh Walls and Fred took on the competition at the Beaumont Bark Up last Saturday. The third annual Bark Up at the Beaumont Hotel drew 16 huntaway entries battling for the top prize, and some extra human entries for a laugh.
Each contestant’s time was set to 30 seconds and the barks were counted. The points for the volume of the bark and the face-up were tallied into contestants’ scores. Prizes included dog food, pliers, woollen socks, a woollen jersey, vouchers and dog collars. .
Anna Taylor won best female dog with her companion Base. Organiser Jana Fransbach said everyone had a great night and a laugh away from the farm for an evening, and was very pleased with the turnout.
