Balclutha locals catch up for a good cause last Saturday morning.
The annual Pink Ribbon Breakfast fundraiser for breast cancer was held for the 10th time by locals Judy and Russell Houliston and the turnout was ‘‘amazing’’, Mrs Houliston said.
A raffle, silent auction and an array of breakfast foods were available on the morning and people came from Balclutha, Gore and further.
They were very pleased with the turnout and were ‘‘endlessly thankful’’ to all sponsors and guests for supporting the event.
It could be the last one they would host before passing on the baton to someone else.
The total amount raised was $4000 and the couple were ‘‘very proud’’ of the achievement. REPORT AND PHOTO: EVELYN THORN
