Worshippers from Balclutha churches including City Impact, St Mark’s, St Mary MacKillop and Balclutha Presbyterian observed a Good Friday cross walk this year, visiting and blessing each church before returning for morning tea hosted by the Inspired Faith Church.

City Impact pastor Shaun Vining said Easter was a time for unity.

‘‘We’re all commemorating Jesus’ journey together. I love the fact it’s unity among all the churches, all are welcome, everyone is loved and accepted.’’

Reading from the gospels, Alex McLaughlin began the short blessings as the group of about 20 arrived at each church.

‘‘There’s a lot going on in the world today so it’s a great example for all the churches to join together, and it feels good to literally go out in a deed of positivity and goodwill,’’ Mr McLaughlin said.
