The 2018 South Otago A&P Show Queen contestants held a fundraising fashion show at Rosebank Lodge last Friday evening, raising more than $1200 for the two charities the event is supporting this year.
The South Otago Cancer Society and Balclutha Link Centre will both benefit from the event, which showcased fashions from H&J Smith, Entity, Roots and Stirling Sports.
To mark the 50th anniversary of the competition the seven show queen contestants then paraded in period fashions supplied by the South Otago Theatrical Society.
Tomorrow evening the contestants will be in the limelight again on the big stage at the South Otago A&P Show at the Balclutha Showgrounds.
The 50th show queen will be crowned after the grand parade, which starts at 2.30pm on Saturday.
