School holiday activities get the blood pumping

From April 26 to 28 last week, Balclutha’s Cross Recreation Centre’s school holiday programme provided more support for families and opportunities for children to keep physically active and entertained.

Children aged 5›12 were keen to meet new people and try new sports and activities and centre assistant manager Bryony Smith was pleased at the programme’s success.

‘‘We would like to thank our fabulous volunteers and of course all the children that attended.

‘‘Our next programme will be 12, 13 and 14 of July,’’ she said.
