Î A 10›year›old boy was taken by ambulance to Dunedin Hospital after he was struck by a car in High St, Balclutha, on Tuesday, May 30, while walking home from school.
Police attended and inquiries are ongoing. The boy has recovered and is back at school.
Î On Wednesday, June 1, a meter›reader called emergency services to an address where police helped ambulance staff to enter the property to rescue an elderly resident suffering a medical event.
Î Also on June 1, Balclutha police were assisted by Dunedin units including the Armed Offenders Squad and the Precision Targeting Team to execute warrants in the Clinton and Milton areas.
Cannabis was recovered and investigations continue.
Î On Friday, June 3, police were called at 4.10am to an overturned ute at Lovells Flat and a female driver is now facing charges.
