By John CosgroveBilled as a liberating experience, the undie run is not for everyone. Last Saturday afternoon in Lawrence, 11 brave males and seven hardy females braved the hot sun, gritty sand and the possibility of stepping in freshly laid animal manure, all in the pursuit of fame and glory. That’s what made the soapy slide, flour covered net crawl, and sack race all worth it, competitors said. The second annual running of the Lawrence Rodeo undie run was a unique mid-break show held during the rodeo schedule to keep the crowds entertained while the rodeo competitors prepared for the afternoon’s session.
