Can you catch the one that will beat last year’s top weight?
The Milton Bruce RSA Fishing Competition will be held on Saturday, February 15, and Milton Bruce RSA secretary-treasurer Donna Williams is hoping for a strong turnout, weather permitting.
“Last year was our best with 35 entries, and at the weigh-in we saw a good spread of weights up to three kilos,” she said.
The competition’s final weigh-in will be held in the RSA rooms in Milton, finishing at 4pm.
Mrs Williams said if people would like to donate their catches to the club after the weigh-in, they would be auctioned off for charity.
“This year we are again lucky to have some great sponsors and prizes as we continue to raise funds for the Clutha District LandSAR group.
“Last year we donated $3000 to them to help buy radios and outfit their support trailer.”
Tickets for the competition are available from the Milton Bruce RSA.
