Police caught three alleged deer poachers on Monday night last week after being called out due to a report of gunshots near Owaka.
Hunting equipment was seized and investigations are ongoing.
Last week, police attended reports of shoplifting, drive›off petrol theft and vehicle incidents including a car crashing into a property near Clinton, a farm›bike user blown off the road near Hillend, drunk driving and a vehicle impounded last Thursday with charges of sustained loss of traction.
Last Friday evening, emergency services attended a crash where a ute had rolled in the Manuka Gorge between Milton and Lawrence.
One person was taken to hospital.
